Teen Vogue Fashion Handbook
Review
Hey Girly's
So for today I have a book review on the Teen Vogue Fashion Handbook. So this is the best book for anyone who wants to get involved in the Fashion Industry. It shows things, like if you want to be a photographer it shows you what you need, if you want to be a stylist, a designer or even an intern, it shows what you need to know and do for that particular job that you want to get into.
The great book also shows stories from designers, Stylists and even more on how they got into the industry and what they had to do to start. For example, they had a few pages on Marc Jacobs and how he started out. All of these stories are really inspiring.
In the back of the book is different fashion universities in the United States. One of the most popular is Parsons The New School For Design in New York. " Founded in 1906, the first-ever fashion design program in the U.S. has continued to produce the industry's most illustrious designers-including Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, and Isaac Mizrahi".(Teen Vogue Fashion Handbook)But that is not all, there are Institutes for schools that teach art, visual arts and much, much more.
I really enjoyed Amy Astley's story on how she became a Fashion magazine editor, and how she started out.
Thanks girls for reading my review, I hope you enjoyed it. My main dream is to become a fashion magazine editor one day, and this book is inspiring me to head on my career path and to follow my dream. This book is also part of what inspired me to start this blog. Too all of you girls who would like to become a designer, a stylist, a photographer, and even a intern, I hope you follow your dream, keep on that road and never give up.
P.S. If you ever give up or if you ever get tired of it, the Fashion Industry is not for everyone. There is no reason to be disappointed about it. Just don't forget to keep your head up and always smile, because you never know when you might get another opportunity to follow another dream and take a new adventure.
Stay Originally You, Haleigh
